While itself not a traditional BPM platform, when optimally leveraged SharePoint can offer powerful tools and capabilities to empower both knowledge workers and your business. This case study oriented, demo-focus session will walk through the how and when SharePoint can be best leveraged for BPM and case management. Several use cases will be shown to demo the power of SharePoint’s workflow engine, forms, document management, and powerful REST API. Illustrated will be both native workflow design in SharePoint as well as the third-party workflow add-ons. Also examined will be both how processes acting as single page applications and processes encompassing entire sites, as well as the role of collaboration and more traditional work management tools, including email.
