Reference architectures have been around for a long time and usually provided a good foundation for most companies starting an architecture project. These reference architectures had some assumptions baked into them: a certain level of control over the entire solution; limited external channels and touch points; internal integrations; and a hard structure with little or no ability to adapt. With cloud, mobile, social, big data and IoT revolutions going on simultane- ously, those previous assumptions are no longer valid. This tectonic shift has changed the way companies connect with their employees, customers and partners which mandates a new industry reference architecture. This session will highlight Financial Services, Healthcare and Government reference architectures that take advantage of these new trends that are re-defining how people and systems interact.
